The history of the Iranian peoples stretches back to the ancient Indo-European period, when their ancestors inhabited the regions around the Caspian Sea and the Pontus area thousands of years before Christ. As time passed, these groups migrated to Central Asia, leading to their eventual separation over the centuries. However, the rich and shared heritage of the diverse peoples that descended from them remains strikingly evident today, highlighting the enduring legacy of their cultural connections. Throughout history, certain animals, deeply connected to people's living conditions and beliefs, have gained both value and sacred significance. One such animal that appears frequently in their texts is the cow. This article aims to explore the Lori Bakhtiari dialect to investigate an ancient belief from the Indo-European, Aryan, and ancient Iranian eras among the original Iranian people. Specifically, it will examine the word "go," which means brother, and trace the origins of this term. The approach taken is to recognize the significance of the cow in this historical context and to explore its importance in cultural beliefs and vocabulary. Ultimately, it was concluded that the term "go or brother" in Bakhtiari reflects a continuation of the tradition of naming sacred animals after either the tribe or a specific individual.
